STAGE 1: FARO >> SAGRES >> FARO
From the start in Faro, the terrain offers beautiful winding roads
among surprisingly lush vegetation, especially in
the Monchique mountains. The route runs along the west coast of the
Algarve, a surfer’s paradise. The rally reaches the extreme southwest
of the European continent as far as Cape São Vicente. We
meet at the water’s edge for lunch and taste
the famous cataplana with a view of the tip of Sagres, its
citadel and its wild cliffs whipped by the waves of the
open sea. In the afternoon, return to the Faro region via Portimão
and the typical village of Loulé.

Sunday September 21: 265 km
STAGE 2: FARO >> ARACENA
The loop of the second day takes us to the
Vale do Guadiana Natural Park. We leave Portugal to
enter Spain after crossing the natural border
of the Guadiana River. This is the far west of Andalusia,
a remote region on the border of Extremadura.
In the heart of the Sierra de Aracena lies the village of Jabugo,
capital of the famous pata negra ham.

STAGE 3: ARACENA >> SEVILLE
The mountain road profile through the Sierra Morena offers
great driving pleasure. The landscapes, among the oak groves
where the famous Iberian pigs feed on acorns
(bellota) are typical of this unique region. The arrival of the day
is planned for the early afternoon in Seville, in order to enjoy the
luxurious Hotel Alfonso XIII and its ideal central location
for visiting the must-see places of the Andalusian capital, its
cathedral or the Spain Square to name a few, without
forgetting to attend a flamenco show.

Tuesday September 23: 270 km
STAGE 4: SEVILLE >> RONDA >> LOJA
It’s a busy day ahead, with the road
to the white villages of Andalusia, of which Grazalema is
a real postcard. The rally reaches Ronda for
lunch. Strolling through this village, the cradle of bullfighting,
is enchanting. A visit to the famous bullring is a
must-see, while the New Bridge offers a
spectacular view of the gorge that cuts through the city.
In the afternoon, the road book winds through the hills planted
with olive trees as far as the eye can see. In the evening, the charm
and tranquility of the La Bobadilla hotel will provide a well-deserved rest.

TOWARDS CARBON NEUTRAL EVENTS
For several years, we have undertaken an approach aimed at reducing the environmental footprint of our events. We are proud to announce that after measuring our carbon footprint with ECOACT, undertaking a policy to reduce our emissions and participating in the financing of carbon offset projects to the extent of our emissions, RALLYSTORY has contributed to achieving carbon neutrality for its rallies. This approach is a first, still imperfect, step towards a goal of Net Zero emissions.
